AFGRI Head Office - Centurion 

Situated on the side of the free way, between Pretoria and Johannesburg, the two pavilions are the new offices for Afgri South Africa. Paragon Architects had created a defining statement in the landscape of Centurion by creating a sculpture within the city. 

The buildings are joint to each other as continuous concrete curves places at distinct angles. the shaded glass facades allows for natural light, but also protects from the noise and pollution from the freeway. The Aluminium Louvres covers the Northern facades to create shading from the harsh sun in the Highveld.

"Cleveland-based sand sculptor and woodworker Carl Jara  just won fist-place at the Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Competition with this fun sculpture titled Infinity. The piece, which also won the People’s Choice award, depicts a series of five consecutive human figures in the palm of another, each one smaller than the last. As an added bonus, he shot a time-lapse video of the entire piece coming together over a period of three days. In the various sand sculpture competitions around the U.S. Jara frequently comes in near or at first place with a imaginative range of figurative works."

Riverside Theater 

Site :       Old Tramways building- Port Elizabeth

Description:  Proposed new 600 theater, located at the foot of                            South End, on the south bank of the Baakens Valley. 

Starlite Bowling & Gaming

On the 24th of April 2013, I received the brief to design a new building housing a Tenpin Bowling Alley and Gaming Center for our Btech Design Portfolio.

       The client/ Developer is Red Bull, who are investing in such centers around the country.

   Also the nature of the building and the placement of entrances on a public as well as private level.

The site is in the center of Korsten, Port Elizabeth, which had a few of its own challenges. How to deal with the context around the site, as well as pedestrian movement was played a big role in the design process.

  After Finalizing the design, I decided to do a 3D model on Google Sketchup, and then imported it into Lumion a program distributed by Micro Graphics.

Salvador Dalí Museum 

Designed by HOK + Beck Group St. Petersburg, Florida. The architecture, greatly inspired by the great surrealist, “combines elements of the classical and the fantastical,” according to the director of the museum. The design speaks to the essence of Dalí while incorporating functional elements to combat Florida’s tough weather
