Donkin Street Houses

These 8 terraced houses were built in the 1850's and haven't changed much since then. They were built stepwise down to slope next to the Donkin Reserve in a Victorian Style. The first photo indicates one of few houses that haven't been renovated yet. The second where as in the second photo it is clear how the building has been restored to its original condition, by making use of the same materials and style.

These are one of Port Elizabeth's most significant historical sites as they form part of the Donkin Reserve and its historical development.

Eco2 Cycling _ PG Bison
Sandton City

For the average businessman, travelling can become a repetitive
and unexciting experience, where any exercise rarely exists.
Eco2 brings the Outside, Inside, creating a major contrast between the busy shopping centre and nature.

The eye catching Baobab tree like element as
you enter, wraps itself around the existing column
to eliminate the feeling that it is just an
ordinary column. The feeling of being under the
tree pulls you inside where you can feel connected to
nature although you still inside the busy mall.

Shop-front windows have a display of mountain bikes
on floating timber ramps with realistic Astroturf on top,
leading to the mezzanine floor creating the feeling that
they are on their way outside or somewhere
interesting and thus subconsciously making the
spectator feel like they need to find out where it leads to.

Whether it is to relax and catch up on some
sport at the nutrition bar ,and get advice from a
qualified nutritionist, or designing your own
personal Eco² Frame. Or even a quick sport injury
massage , and an EKG test to analyze your
heart and lungs. Eco2 Cycling will make you forget
about reality, even if it's just for a few moments.
